European Commission

Euro Access has carried out a number of consultancy tasks for the European Commission. Some of these tasks have included: writing a biotechnology guide for SMEs; reviewing the export refund system for processed cereals, analysing trade arrangements with the emerging Eastern European countries and writing the funding guide to the UK.

Mission Foods

The world leader in Mexican tortilla and other authentic Mexican foods with a major share of the Mexican and US market, Mission Foods has built a high-tech factory at Coventry to serve the European market. Euro Access was involved in assessing site options, business plan preparation and the successful application under RSA for £750,000 of grant funding. (€1.1m)

Scottish Water

This public agency provides water and sewerage services for Scotland. Upgrading and developing this infrastructure is vital to the economic progress of Scotland. Accessing European funding is crucial in this process - particularly in the more remote rural areas where low population density makes it difficult to justify the needed investment.

Since 1998 Euro Access has acted as strategic advisor to the Scottish Water Authority in European funding issues, not only writing strategies but also helping them to gain over £5.5 (€7.8) million in funding.

Grosvenor

Grosvenor are one of the UK's premier development companies noted for their extensive and high quality portfolio. The company often undertakes schemes requiring considerable investment, either because of a recovery of brownfield sites or because of the specialist nature of the buildings. In this situation European funding is vital to secure an adequate rate of return.
For example, Euro Access has recently successfully negotiated £6 million of EU funding for the development of a strategic business park as a joint venture with Edinburgh University in Midlothian, Scotland.

Geoconference

As a new start-up by two experienced entrepreneurs in the teleconferencing services business, Geoconference developed a unique technology approach to managing 'virtual meetings' by telephone, on video and over the internet. Euro Access wrote a business plan and obtained £650,000 in RSA grant funding.

Phil HanLey

Phil HanLey is at the forefront of the logistics and distribution of food in the food service sector. A grant of £760,000 from RSA has enabled the company to build a new state-of-the-art centre in the East Midlands, England.
